Muscle Testing: Getting Answers From the Subconscious Mind

Much research has revealed the power of our subconscious minds. The subconscious mind is like a human computer, recording everything that has happened in our lives.

What is Muscle Testing (aka applied kinesiology)?

The body has within it and surrounding it an electrical network or grid, which is pure energy. Because energy runs through the muscles in your body, if anything impacts your electrical system that does not maintain or enhance your body’s balance, your muscles will virtually “short circuit” or weaken (don’t worry, only temporarily). Things that might have an impact on your electrical system are thoughts and emotions, foods, and other substances.

Using your muscles, we can find what events or emotions “weaken” or “strengthen” your body. This process is called applied kinesiology, but often referred to as “muscle testing.” It’s simply a really cool way we can ask your body questions and get clear answers – like a telephone to the subconscious mind.

Try a simple muscle testing technique yourself now. Although often people pick this up easily, it may take some practice to be accurate and consistent. Just keep at it though and you’ll find a whole new way to communicate with your body.

How Is Muscle Testing Used During Sessions?

Because your subconscious mind knows everything, we can ask it yes or no questions and watch for how your energy or electrical system reacts. If we make a statement that is true, your electrical system will continue to flow and the circuits remain strong, allowing your muscles to retain strength. If we make a statement that is false, your energy system will temporarily short circuit and your muscles will quickly weaken or lock up.

In order to find out what your subconscious mind and body are congruent with,

we can use many questions to get clues to what emotional aspects might need

to be addressed. Some questions might be:

  • Is there a specific past event in my life that is contributing to this problem?

  • Do I have a belief that I am not deserving of being healthy?

  • Will clearing X,Y or Z emotional event be beneficial for my health?

If your muscles stay strong, that is a “yes” response. Your energy is flowing and your muscles are maintaining full power, which is interpreted as a positive response. If the muscles weaken, it is a “no” answer. Your energy has temporarily stopped flowing through that muscle, thus stripping it of its ability to work properly. It’s your body’s signal that it does not agree with something. This process is fascinating and the clues we get can be invaluable to your healing.

In some cases, I will teach you how to use self muscle-testing (testing on your own muscles) to get these answers. In other cases, I will be using “proxy” muscle testing for you.

How Does Proxy Muscle Testing Work For Phone Appointments?

Proxy testing is muscle testing that is done on myself, for you. Proxy testing works similarly to how cell phones work. Our bodies have a built-in capability to connect to or “call” someone else. When we do this, we create an energetic connection with them. Once you’re connected, you can get answers about what is going on with this other person’s body, because you’re picking up their energetic flow or signal. Proxy work can also be used to correct energetic imbalances on another too. Again, since you are connected to their energy field (and energy knows no space and time – just like when you’re thinking of someone and they call you!), it can be done regardless of distance.  I simply ask questions and get answers on myself, that reflect what’s going on in your energy system. Even though there is much knowledge of how this works in relationship to quantum physics, we don’t have to understand or even believe it for it be extremely accurate.

More About Why Muscle Testing Works

This is best explanation I’ve found for for why muscle testing works, that just about anyone can easily understand.  Muscle testing works, if you do it correctly, for two reasons.

1. Your body uses an Autonomic Control System (ACS) to unconsciously control all body functions needed to keep us alive and well. There are 50 trillion cells this system controls. It knows everything that is happening in your body. But this information is all unconscious to us. We can ask yes or no questions of this system with a simple muscle test.

2. It works because of what quantum physics calls Quantum Entanglement. At the unconscious level you know everything I know and I know everything you or your body knows. So I have knowledge of the supplements and what they do, and your body knows what it needs. So muscle testing enables your body to communicate to me what supplements would work best for it.

Self Muscle Testing: The Sway Test or Standing Test

There are many ways to self muscle-test or get answers from your subconscious mind to find out what impact something is having on your energy system — either positive or negative. Just like plants and trees, your body will naturally be drawn to the positive or the truth, while naturally repel itself away from something that doesn’t feel good to it.

The sway test, which is the easiest one to learn on your own at home, suggests that your thoughts and emotions produce a certain response in your nervous system, affecting your motor response (movement of your body).

If you have trouble standing, this can be done in a chair.

As easy as 1-2-3!

1. Stand or sit up straight with your feet pointing directly forward. Ensure both feet are directly forward and neither are slightly turned either in or out. Relax your body with your hands down at your sides.

2. To make sure your energy is running in a forward direction, which will help ensure an accurate result, tap your thymus gland, which is under your breast bone in your chest — about an inch below the notch in your neck where you’d tie a tie. Simply tap there for about 30 seconds. You don’t need to be perfectly over the spot as the percussion effect of the tapping will do the work.

Now you are ready to perform an accuracy check: To make sure you are getting an accurate response, first make a statement or hold a thought in your head you know to be true like “My name is Sue Smith” (but use your name of course). Then state something like “My name is Bob White” (something that is not your name).

Sense the response of your body for each — you should either feel yourself being gently pulled forward for a “yes” response, or repelled back signaling it’s not true or your body is not in resonance with that, which would be a “no” response.

3. Now you can begin asking questions using the sway test.

Some examples of the way you might ask questions related to your emotions would be:

  • Am I feeling agitated because of a work situation?
If you get a yes, then you can continue asking specific questions like, “Is this something someone said to me?” “Is this something someone did to me?”

  • Am I feeling agitated because of something X person said?

  • Would it be beneficial for me to talk X person to get some clarity on this issue?

That’s it! Next time you aren’t sure why you’re in that funk you are, try this and see if you can get clear answers by using this technique.
